

He participates nationally in the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and is past member of the New Technology Committee and current member of the Awards Committee. Ferrara serves as an Assistant Professor in Surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Florida State University College of Medicine. He went on to complete his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA.ĭr. He received his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine and then completed his general surgery residency at the Brookwood Baptist Health program in Birmingham, AL. Ferrara attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate training, graduating summa cum laude with a major in Biology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Ferrara is board certified in both general and colorectal surgery by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
